For more than 20 years, I have enjoyed working in the motion picture industry as a special effects model fabricator, hand-prop maker and set-builder. I have worked on such films as Casino, The Italian Job, Team America: World Police and many others as well as television series: Star Trek: The Next Generation, Bones, NCIS, Ghost Whisperer, Criminal Minds, etc...I've been there, done that. Starting in 2009, I was asked to replicate a petrol knob on an old Jaguar Mark 9 automobile. One thing led to another, and before I knew it I was replicating car interior parts, antique radio knobs, repairing and restoring old toys, furniture and what-not. I became so busy, that I decided to start my own business. Retro Plastic was born. I finally found something I love doing: restoring old things! Be it an old Matt Mason toy, vintage Mercedes gearshift knob or an antique Thonet Cane-Webbing chair - my passion is to repair and restore.
